At West Valley Dance Company, our Performance and Competitive Teams give dancers ages 4 to 18 the opportunity to train at a higher level, gain meaningful performance experience, and be part of something truly special.
Whether your child dreams of the stage lights or is ready for the next step in their dance journey, our teams are designed to foster growth, confidence, and joy through every leap, turn, and performance.
Participation is a full-year commitment that includes all scheduled performances, competitions, and conventions outlined by WVDC.

The WVDC Performance Team is the perfect fit for dancers who love to shine on stage and want to build their skills in a fun, high-energy, and supportive environment.
This non-competitive program gives dancers the chance to perform throughout the year at events such as:

Competitive Teams Ages 4–18 | Audition-Based | Regional & National Competitions
The WVDC Competitive Team is designed for serious dancers who are ready to take their training and performance to the next level. This elite, audition-based program is rooted in technical excellence, personal development, and team collaboration.
Competitive Team dancers will:
Train multiple days per week
Perform at four regional competitions
Attend one dance convention
Compete at one national competition
Participate in our Annual Recital and other special events
This program is ideal for passionate, driven dancers—and families—who are ready to commit to a focused, goal-oriented environment.
Auditions are held annually in May.

WVDC Audtion Details
Location: Bascom Studio
Friday, May 15th – Mandatory Registration
(Drop in anytime between 4 PM – 7PM) All dancers must attend.
During Registration, you will:
Get your audition number
Have your headshot taken
Confirm which styles you’re auditioning for
Ask any last-minute questions
Saturday, May 16th - Auditions
Ages 4-6: 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM
Ages 7-8: 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM
Ages 9-11: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Sunday, May 17th - Auditions
Ages 12-14: 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Ages 15-18: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM
Audition choreography videos will be sent out on Friday, May 1, giving you plenty of time to prepare.
